This painting was inspired by my love and appreciation for friendship. I’ve been in a group chat with my best friends from elementary school for over a decade, and we’ve been through so much together.

One of my favorite memories was the day a friend called to tell me she was pregnant and made me promise not to tell anyone in the group chat. Later that same day, another friend texted the chat: “I’m pregnant.”

We immediately started texting each other on the side like, “What the heck?!” 😂

They both welcomed baby girls around the same time, and now those little girls are five. Watching your friends become mothers—and watching their children grow up together—feels like one of life’s greatest gifts.
