Eulalie lives in Louisiana, named after her Creole grandmother whose stories still echo in the way she moves through the world. She’s a professor of engineering at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. When she isn’t teaching, Eulalie moves at her own pace. She spends time with family and friends, travels when she feels called to, and wanders through museums, drawn to color, texture, and history. But her love of engineering doesn’t stay in the classroom—it follows her home. She keeps small sketchbooks filled with delicate diagrams and ideas: bridges inspired by flower stems, patterns based on the symmetry of petals, little structures she imagines building one day just to see if they can exist.

In the afternoons, she makes tea like it’s a ritual. She says tea teaches patience—the same patience needed to understand how something works, or how to build it. She’ll sit by the window with her cup warming her hands, watching the light shift across the room, letting her thoughts settle into quiet solutions and soft curiosities.
